Kenmare Co. Kerry :

Kenmare is a planned market town on the end of the Kenmare Bay estuary. It lies strategically between the McGilliguddy Reeks on the Dingle peninsula and the Caha mountains on the Beara peninsula. Kenmare is a seasonal town, reasonably quite in the spring, autumn and winter but gets rather popular in the summer month. The Park is located 5 minutes from Kenmare on the Ring of Kerry road towards Sneem / Waterville.

The Park :

We are a caravan park catering for mobile homes and caravans for seasonal use. The sites are leased on the basis of an annual license agreement. Although the park does not close during the winter period the water supply is drained and disconnected generally from October to March to avoid frost damage. The park also offers external winter storage for caravans not using the site for seasonal use .

Each site is or can be supplied with a metered water, - electricity and - LP gas supply together with a foul & waste water drainage point.

The site has a municipal waste collection point for bagged domestic waste. Mobiles homes and caravans are all owned and insured by the tenants and can be bought from us or supplied by the tenants themselves. The site charges a connection fee for tenant supplied mobile homes or caravans. Tenants are responsible for their own mobile home, caravan and site. General maintenance around the park is carried out by us.

We do not allow sub letting nor do we do any letting ourselves. This has allowed us to keep the Park at peace with nature so to speak.

Park layout & access :

The park is generally made up of individual sites rather then an open field. It is elevated some 75m above sea level and has views on the mountains and overlooks the Kenmare bay from the more elevated sites. As security we have a electric barrier with pin number access. The park has limited play and leisure facilities but these are all available within a short distance.

Leisure facilities and activities :

Within 1.5 km we have Dromquinna with restaurants, water sports, bistro and horse riding. Within 3 km we have the hotels in Kenmare offering a spa, gym or swimming pool. For golf enthusiasts we have the Ring of Kerry golf club and the Kenmare golf club. We have Coss strand, Templenoe & Kenmare pier for swimming or boating, Kenmare town with it's own theatre, ice cream parlor, betting shops, playground, Supervalue, Lidle, 20 odd restaurants and an equal number of pubs catering for all sorts of entertainment and a host of other activities.

Availability

The Park has been in operation for over 30 years but has only recently started to operate on the basis of seasonal use only. There are currently only a few number of sites occupied and there is therefore plenty of scope for new tenants. The Park has a variety of sites available for both mobile homes or caravans to cater for most tenants tastes and requirements.
